Wireless Hotspots: The Internet to go!

Image:

Residents of Westland can now borrow a portable Internet Wi-Fi Hotspot from the library. Our new wireless hotspot lending program is a free service that allows you to take the Internet wherever you go!

A wireless hotspot is a device that can be used anywhere to create a wireless network so patrons can connect any Wi-Fi-enabled mobile device, laptop, smart phone, tablet, printer, digital camera, SmartTV or gaming device. Hotspots are portable, so you can connect your device to the Internet almost anywhere you are. This hotspot works in any area covered by the T-Mobile network.

Any Westland resident who is 18 years of age and older and has a card in good standing may check out a wireless hotspot from the library’s Circulation Desk. Hotspots check out for 14 days. Patrons may place holds on hotspots using the library’s catalog. No renewals are permitted. Please view the following documents for additional information:

The Library’s Information desk staff will be happy to assist you in setting up your wireless hotspot. Please email us at questions@westlandlibrary.org or call us at (734) 326-6123.
