Kids' and Teens' Summer Reading Logs must be turned in by August 29th at 2:00pm to receive any prizes they achieved on their logs.

Our 2020 Summer Reading Program encourages you to Imagine Your Story! Your challenge is to read 40 days between now and August 15, 2020. You can do it!
The more you read the more prizes you earn! Every 10 days of reading earns a prize. When you reach 40 days you earn a FREE BOOK and an entry into our Grand Prize Drawing for gift cards and MORE!
You can record your days online HERE or stop by the library after June 22 to pick up a reading log from the front door. You can print the log at home by clicking HERE. Prize pick-up for days you read begins July 29 and ends Aug. 29.

The Westland Public Library's DIGITAL RESOURCES are at your fingertips!
Hoopla provides access to digital music, movies, TV shows, eBooks and ausiobooks.
We have increased the number of digital "check-outs" though Hoopla to 12 per month per card until the library opens to the public again.
PLUS! A huge list of JUST SHARED items can be found here.
In order to use Hoopla, you need to set up an account using your library card number and PIN.
TumbleBooks Premium includes animated talking picture books, chapter books, videos, non-fiction titles, graphic novels and more!
TumbleMath is a collection of math picture books. It includes animated talking picture books, lesson plans, and quizzes. Available through August 31, 2020.

Storytimes
The use of picture books, songs, and stories will encourage your child to read, talk, sing, write, and play. All storytimes are drop in.
Sleepytime Storytime (3 to 7 years) - Mondays, Mar 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 from 6:30-7:15 PM
March is Reading Month Storytime (Ages 2 to 6 years) - Wednesdays, March 4, 11, 18, 25 from 10-10:45 AM
Storytime at Biggby Coffee (all ages) - Thursday, March 12 from 10-10:30 AM
Preschool Storytime (3.5 to 5 years) - Fridays, Mar 6, 13, 20, 27 from 10-10:30 AM

Join us on Wednesday, December 4 from 6-8PM for our annual Holiday Sing-Along! We'll begin outside for songs and visit with a live reindeer. Then go inside for hot cocoa, cookies, crafts and a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Bring a camera to take pictures of your child with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
