Library Card Sign-Up Month
Snoopy and Woodstock: "What's cooler than being cool? Having a library card. Get yours today."

What's more cool and practical than your own library card? With access to so much knowledge and entertainment, you'd be hard-pressed to find a better value in your wallet. During Library Card Sign-Up Month this September, the library has partnered with several local businesses who are offering free or discounted items just for showing your Westland library card (including Biggby Coffee, Gabriel's Hoagies, Golden Chopsticks, Family and Friends Funland, Westland Toarmina's Pizza locations, Vizzy's Pizza Palace, and many more). For more information, contact our service desks.

August is Tell a Librarian a Joke Month!

Kids, tell us your best jokes!

Joke Books can be found in the 818’s in J Non-fiction.

Jokes help children learn literacy skills because in order to tell a joke you have to understand humor, dialogue and story.
