Our 7th annual Community Shred Day will take place on Saturday, April 21 from 12:00-2:00pm. All are welcome to bring up to 5 boxes (no plastic bags, please) of paper documents to be shredded.

Shred Corp of Madison Heights will be in the parking lot near the Veterans Memorial Garden. They are the official shredder for the city of Westland and they are bonded, insured and also members of the National Association of Information Destruction (NAID). On Wednesday, April 11, the library will be welcoming four final candidates interviewing for our library director position. The day-long interview process will consist of meetings with staff and library leadership in the morning, community tours in the afternoon, and a special board meeting at 5:30 pm. During the board meeting, the library board will interview each candidate in turn and then select their final candidate for the position. Board meetings are open to the public.
